Noble’s Isabella Meyer – Academic Athlete of the Month Presented by Republic Bank & Trust
- Updated: August 6, 2019
Noble High School varsity cheerleader Isabella Meyer is not only a senior this season, she is also one of three captains this year.
Meyer has cheered all four years of high school and coach Adam Hughes considers her one of the leaders on the team.
“I started cheering in second and third grade, but took a break from it until middle school. When I hit seventh grade, I became more serious about the sport and fell in love with it,” said Meyer.
Cheer squads must work in unison and Meyer said she loves how the entire squad has to move and work as one.
“My teammates are my family. No matter how much we bicker and argue, we always come back together. I love each and every one with my whole heart,” said Meyer. “Being a captain is a lot of stress sometimes, but it means the world to me that I was chosen to lead and be a role model for all my teammates.”
At Noble High School, Meyer is also involved in National Honor Society and she takes her academics very serious.
“Academics are very important to me. I’ve maintained a 4.0 GPA or higher for my entire high school career. After I graduate, I would like to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and study Forensic Science,” said Meyer.
Free time doesn’t exist for Meyer. She is focused on making the most of every opportunity as a senior. She currently carries a 4.1 GPA and is looking forward to her final year of high school.
