Norman North’s Parker Tipton – Driven Athlete of the Month – Presented by Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Norman

Recent Norman North High School graduate Parker Tipton says he has been playing baseball ever since he can remember. Tipton’s love for baseball started when he would go and watch baseball games at the University of Oklahoma. Watching the college baseball games sparked an admiration for the sport and he thought he would try it out. During his time playing for the Timberwolves, he says that the best thing about it was the success the team saw when their hard work paid off.

“My favorite thing about competing for my high school would have to be going to state three out of four years I was at Norman North,” he said.

When asked what keeps Tipton motivated to do his best in and out of athletics, he responded with his family. He said it is his family and his community that keeps him grounded and motivated because he likes being able to represent both in a positive way.

Tipton enjoyed his final season at Norman North, with one moment standing out as a big highlight.

“My senior season overall was very good and winning regionals was the best part,” he said.

Tipton would like to give his former teammates the advice to keep in mind it is not the most talented team that makes it, but it is the team that believes in each other and works together was one team that makes it possible.

Tipton has undecided plans after graduation but his love for baseball will remain the same as he moves to the next step in his life.
