Norman North’s Grant Randall: Driven Athlete of the Month – Presented by Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Norman
- Updated: April 17, 2019
By Corey Heim
Grant Randall plays baseball for Norman North High School and is a driven teammate both on the field and off.
The senior currently plays as a shortstop for the Timberwolves. He began playing the sport at only three years old as the love for the game was passed on to him through his family, whom all played before him.
Randall said he’s driven to not only be a successful player, but to be a good teammate and leader to the other members on the team.
“My team means a lot to me,” Randall said. “We put a lot of trust in each other so we are all really close.”
Randall is also motivated to make his family proud of his baseball accomplishments. His brother influences him to play every game like it could be his last game on the field, due to a career ending injury his brother suffered.
Randall is also driven to be an accomplished student at Norman North as well. He has placed a dedication on time-management to give equal focus on school and baseball.
He works hard to maintain a good GPA as he plans on majoring in Kinesiology and becoming a personal trainer at Connors State Junior college in the fall- where he will be continuing his baseball career.
Randall has certainly proven himself during his high school career, and I’m sure he’ll remain just as driven through college as well.
