Community Christian Royals Basketball – Presented by Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Norman
- Updated: December 14, 2018
Community Christian Royals
GIRLS
Michelle McNear
17-18 Record: 11-14
Head coach Michelle McNear is starting her 21st year at the helm of the Community Christian Lady Royals basketball team and her enthusiasm is just as high today as it was 21 seasons ago.
“CCS returns two starters and three underclassmen that played a lot of minutes last season. We have five freshmen that should all see playing time this year,” coach McNear said. “This will be the deepest team we’ve ever had at CCS. The future is bright.”
Charis McIntosh (6-0, Sr.) will play the post giving coach McNear a player that can average 6.5 points and 5.5 rebounds a game. Important numbers in the paint. Claire Mitchell (5-6, Jr.) is an excellent leader on the court and an important piece of the puzzle this season. Eposi Lambe (5-6, So.) is a tough player inside or out. Lambe averaged 6.3 points and 5.2 rebounds a game last year. Kaegan McDuffey (5-8, So.) is another talented sophomore the Lady Royals will look to for big plays this season. McDuffey averaged 6.3 points and 1.5 steals per contest last year. Shelby McHughes (5-8, So.) and Channing Apel (5-9, Fr.) will have larger roles on the team this season. Other players to watch this season include Adysen Huselton (5-4, Fr.), Sayre Stapleton (5-8, Fr.), Makenzie Kinnard (5-8, Fr.), Amariah Edwards (5-4, Fr.) and Alexa Burroughs (5-5, Jr.). The coaching staff consists of Mat McIntosh and Jeff Cox.
