Community Christian's Heath Abrahamsen – Academic Athlete of the Month – Presented by Republic Bank & Trust
- Updated: December 3, 2018
Community Christian standout basketball player Heath Abrahamsen has called the basketball court home for 11 seasons. In that time, the point guard/shooting guard has played some great games and made some great friends.
“What I love most about my team is that we are a family and love playing for each other,” said Abrahamsen.
Academics have always been a priority for Abrahamsen. He understands what it means to be a student-athlete and why his education will pave the way for his future.
“Academics are very important,” said Abrahamsen. “Basketball will only last so long.”
As a student at Community Christian, Abrahamsen feels it is important to be involved in other activities at school. Currently he is a member of the Key Club, National Honor Society and the Yearbook staff.
His favorite subject is Physics and Abrahamsen has big plans for his future.
“I would like to play college basketball while majoring in Health and Sports Sciences,” said Abrahamsen.
For his commitment to his education and to Community Christian, Heath Abrahamsen is a Norman Area Academic Athlete of the Month.
