Noble's Brayllen Freeman: Driven Athlete of the Month – Presented by Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Norman
- Updated: October 16, 2018
By Corey Heim
As only a freshman at Noble High school, Brayllen Freeman has just begun his high school sports career running for the school’s cross-country team.
“I like to compete, because I get to meet other athletes that challenge me,” said Freeman. “My teammates are my best friends, and we support each other.”
He began running long distance competitively four years ago due to his older brother who ran. And although he competes to make his parents proud; he also speaks highly of his brothers and thanks them for inspiring him to be a runner and helping him along the way.
“My brother Elliot motivates me on and off the field because he runs with me and encourages me,” Freeman said.
Along with cross-country, Freeman has also played soccer and track for the past two years. Which comes as no surprise due to his success with running.
Freeman currently holds a 3.6 GPA and is able to keep his education a priority due to his love of competing athletically. He holds himself accountable to his schoolwork so that his grades are high enough to allow him to run for the school.
His favorite subject in school is history and finds Mr. Wells to be his favorite teacher, as his stories are entertaining but also very educational.
After graduating from high school, Freeman hopes to pursue his dreams of studying medicine at the University of Oklahoma, where he wants to start a career as a doctor.
