Community Christian School's Jordan Stecklow: Academic Athlete of the Month – Presented by Republic Bank & Trust
- Updated: August 22, 2018
Community Christian School senior Jordan Stecklow is a member of the varsity cheer squad at CCS and started cheering in the seventh grade. For Stecklow, being a student-athlete at CCS is more than just cheering, it’s being an all-around great student and ambassador for the school.
“This is my thirteenth year at CCS and for me, it’s more than just a school, it has become a second home. I absolutely love that I am not only able to talk about and worship God freely, but I am surrounded by students and faculty who constantly encourage me to grow in my faith,” said Stecklow.
Stecklow is not only a captain of the cheer squad, she is involved in many other activities as well.
“Besides being a captain of my cheer team, I am a member of both Key Club and National Honor Society. I’ve been involved with Student Leadership activities and currently, I am editor of the yearbook and President of my senior class,” said Stecklow.
For Stecklow, academics are the main focus and her plans after she graduates include going to college and pursuing a career in the medical field.
“Academics have always been extremely important to me and I have managed to maintain a 4.0 (GPA) throughout high school. After I graduate, I plan to attend college and pursue a career in the Pediatric medical field.”
