Westmoore’s Will Graham – Character Counts sponsored by Eskridge Honda

Westmoore senior Will Graham has played baskeball since the young age of four. He has also ran track since 6th grade, participating in the 4×1, 4×2, 100m, and long jump.
“I started playing basketball because my whole family played and I started at a young age and fell in love,” said Graham. “I started running track to stay in shape and because I was fast and could jump.”
Basketball has remained his passion over the years, and the Jaguars point guard has been through a lot with his teammates. He aims to be a reliable teammate in return.
“My teammates are my brothers,” said Graham. “I’ll go to war for every one of them. I’m going to always have their backs no matter what.”
On the court, Graham is determined and strives to be a leader. What motivates him is winning, and being his best.
“Chasing that gold ball,” he said. “My teammates and coaches all believe in me and push me every day to be the best leader on and off the floor.”
Graham credits multiple people with encouraging and helping him grow, both on and off the court.
“On the floor all of my coaches have been great influences,” he said. “Off the court my stepdad Rod Kindred is the reason why I am the player I am. And my mom, man, I would be nothing without her. She’s my go-to when things are good or bad. My sister Erika Wakefield always gives me great advice about the game from her experiences.”
Graham’s plans after high school are to attend Oklahoma Christian, play basketball all four years, and he hopes to get the opportunity to go overseas and play ball.
