Noble's Kaylee Hoy is the Academic Athlete of the Month sponsored by Republic Bank and Trust

Even Noble High School athletic director Tony Smith knows of Kaylee Hoy.
Smith nominated Hoy for the Noble High Academic Athlete by Republic Bank and Trust, and cheerleading coach Kristal Standridge made it obvious why he did.
“She is phenomenal,” Standridge said. “She’s a leader, she’s very active in lots of organizations within the school.
“She’s just a student that goes above and beyond.”
Standridge has witnessed Hoy’s character inside and outside of the classroom. As a coach, Standridge raved about Hoy’s leadership as a senior athlete. Hoy also plays soccer.
Standridge had even more to say as a teacher. Hoy still displays leadership in the classroom (she’s active in student council), but Standridge also bragged about Hoy’s near-perfect ACT score and willingness to try to pursue a degree at a prestigious university such as Stanford.
“That’s not something that happens,” Standridge said. “We don’t have many student-athletes from Noble applying to go to Stanford.
“…She is rare because you’ll have kids that will excel in one or two areas. What is exceptional about Kaylee is she’s able to excel with almost everything she touches.”
As her student and athlete, Hoy has left quite the impression on Standridge.
“When I think of Kaylee I think of excellence,” Standridge said. “Everything she does is just such high-quality, over the top. (She’s) an all-around great student-athlete.”
