Moore's Kate Bowlby Character Counts sponsored by Eskridge Honda

Moore High School’s Kate Bowlby has her priorities in line.
At 8 p.m. on a Tuesday night, Bowlby had to make time for an interview while writing an essay for a class. It was something she had to finish after cheerleading practice and the work ethic she was demonstrating was why she had to do the interview. It was just another reason why Bowlby’s character stands out to Moore cheerleading coach Rebekah Jordan and why selected Bowlby as an athlete that demonstrates great character.
Bowlby, a senior, is a leader on the Lady Lions’ cheerleading team and also excels in the classroom.
“Kate is our team captain,” Jordan said. “She is a hard worker, a compassionate leader and an excellent example to those around her.”
On the field, Bowlby stands out because of her leadership trait. Off the field, she thrives as a student in the classroom. For both, her work ethic is the reason why she excels on and off the field.
“It’s super difficult, but I always have to put my priorities in place, of course,” Bowlby said. “School comes first, and then there’s cheerleading. Mainly, I just do my school work and make sure that’s done, and then I focus on cheerleading.”
